Ministries

God has called our family to help Romanian families discover the truth of His love and the joy of relationship with Him. We long to see the hearts of husbands and fathers turn towards their families, for wives and mothers to find their worth and value in Christ, for the abandoned children to be defended, protected and embraced, for Romania to rise up and be all God intended her to be!

Seminars for Adoptive Families and Adoption Professionals

In May 2010, we held our first adoption seminar and it was a huge success! Fifty adoptive parents and professionals attended the seminar focused on attachment between adoptive parents and children. While we knew there was a tremendous need for godly information and education in the area of adoption in Romania, the hunger for answers was beyond anything we expected. Our guest speaker, Lynn Wetterberg, herself the adoptive mother of four, shared with kindness and authority about her own struggles and triumphs in the area of attachment disorders. At the end of the seminar people were begging for more! We plan to hold 2-3 seminars

like this each year and expand beyond Cluj to other cities in Romania.

City Wide Prayer Events

We believe that in order to make a difference in Romania, our first mandate is prayer. One of Aaron’s passions is to regularly bring together Christians of all ethnicities and denominations for city-wide worship and prayer.

“Her children’s stories and the entire presentation was like manna from heaven.” - Romanian Child Protection Social Worker

“Please continue to have seminars like this. Lynn spoke directly to me the entire time. It was like she lives in my house. Thank you so much. This was amazing!”

- A Romanian Adoption Parent

Whether through gathering signatures to petition the government to reopen international adoptions, speaking out on local TV news programs, or writing articles about our adoption journey for the newspaper, we are taking every opportunity to raise awareness and speak on

behalf of the abandoned and neglected children of Romania. We are building a pro-adoption coalition of adoptive families with the purpose of bringing legal protection to adopting families and fighting for the urgent need to reopen international adoptions.

After years of prayer and intercession on behalf of the abandoned children of Romania, God is opening amazing doors for us to go into maternity wards and hospitals to meet the emotional and physical needs of the abandoned children.

These babies live in their cribs 24/7 without the loving arms of a family. After  years of being barred from entering into hospitals and nurseries, we are now able to go in and hold, play and pray with them, meeting their most basic needs for physical touch, mental and emotions stimulation, food, diapers and clothing.

After extensive research, we found that there is virtually no material written or translated into Romanian on adoption and healthy parent-child attachment for adoptive families. God has called us to help fill this void by providing practical information for Romanian adoptive families. We want to get books & DVD’s into the hands of adoptive parents and adoption professionals on how to help children who have experienced abandonment overcome trauma and attach to their adoptive families. Ana has translated into Romanian a very powerful book on adoption entitled “Becoming a Family” by Lark Eshleman. We feel a tremendous urgency to get this information, along with many other materials, into the hands of Romanian adoptive parents and professionals as quickly as possible!

Through weekly “Encounter” Bible study, Aaron is leading pastors and local church leaders from the Christian community in Cluj to encourage and challenge one another to grow in encountering God in powerful ways in their everyday lives. Many have said God has used the Encounter Bible studies to transform their concept of Him and show them how He wants to work powerfully in their lives on a daily basis.
